BACKGROUND

These are some of the images I've been creating within my first year in the world of Archviz. Scroll down to see what my year has been like.

THE VILLA

- THE VILLA

This project has been my first steps into exterior design, in which we were tasked with constructing homes based on designs provided by alingsås huspaket and also create corresponding 3D environments. The assignment we were given was to create everything in 3d to see the possibilities / limitations of 3d.

Once the assignment was handed in, we were given the opportunity to further enhance our work using Photoshop. Specifically, I replaced the 3D-generated vegetation with photographically captured vegetation and brought the facade to life by incorporating a pre-existing photograph of corrugated steel. These adjustments were made due to time constraints during the 3D modeling phase; it was determined that post-production offered a more efficient solution.

THE CHAIR

- THE MODELLING PROJECT

This project was about modeling an existing chair using photos and in the best case drawings to form our chairs. We also learned about UVW unwrapping, a way to fold an image around an object which in this case makes to backrest look like wood, etc.

With the chair modeled the next task was to create an advertisement in a suitable and/or creative way with properties made for printing.

I wanted to create a studio setting in a mountain area, so this allowed me to model studio gear and learn the basics of simulating fabrics to get a more realistic look than if you were to model it by hand. I simulated the backdrop and modeled the soft boxes with displacement modifiers to get the natural wrinkles.

THE RENOVATION

- THE RENOVATION OBJECT

Our mission was to pick an existing building in need of renovation and through visualizations show its potential and make it sellable.

I chose this croft / service house located in Askersund. I wanted to keep the industrial feeling in the kitchen with old cast iron windows and a solid polished concrete floor whilst bringing in the warmth through the ash wood.

In the bedroom I thought it was important to contrast the large kitchen area and to make this more cozy and lived in through warm colors and a big amount of exposed wood.

Below follows a few "before pitures"

URBAN ARCHITECTURE

- URBAN ARCHITECTURE

Together With pixelflakes we made this project in Great Britain. They provided us with all the material needed such as floor plans, material specifications, revit models etc. The project is called “Kirklees Cultural Heart” and is now in construction in Huddersfield, UK.

The projects main focus has been to bring new life to an old part of the city, now consisting of a lot of social areas. My focus has been the venue where you can expect to take part in events such as concerts and all things related.

THE HOTEL

- THE HOTEL

This was our first group assignment where we designed a hotel in Amsterdam as a group of three where my focus was the hotel lobby.
