Capella's Hut

This is a project dear to my heart, that concludes my second year in 3d animation school ! 

Within two months, we had to make a small video, introducing a hut, completely made from scratch by ourselves !

The final video is made of 3 different shots, 2 close up of some important props, and the main view of the hut and the environment :

I had the idea of a young woman going to the forest, where she builds this little hut, so that she could play violin and take dessert, alone and in peace . 

During the whole time i was working on this, I only had in mind to make something that transmits calm, and loneliness, in a peaceful way , it had to look like a bubble where only one person is allowed to be, an elegant and beautiful sanctuary 

In the early process of pre-production, I already know what i wanted to do from the very beginning :

Within the two months of production, I used Maya for the modeling, with Renderman for the Texturing and lighting, I hand paint some texture ( such as the teapot and the paint on the violin ) on Clip Studio Paint, and compositing on Nuke 

One of the most difficult aspect of this work was to make the violin, it's one of the most complex object I had to do, luckily for me, a friend of mine plays violin, she lends it to me as much as I needed it, so i made a lot of reference photos so I could make something as right as I could : 

I'm really happy with how the final images turned out ! They have a really poetic vibe, and that's what I was going for since the very beginning !
