Eternal Knowledge Keep
Second Project at Academy of Interactive Entertainment for Game Art & Animation with first project for comparison and reflection.
This is the end result from my second project at Academy of Interactive Entertainment Sydney. For this project, we focused around environments and I decided to create a setting inspired by Victorian era architecture and regal looking interiors.
Every object was created using subdivision modelling with quads, of which the importance of good topology has now been ingrained into every fiber of my being.
Now for comparison here is my previous and first scene made in 3D using Maya.
As seen the scope of the first project was significantly smaller, there is room for significantly topology optimization specially on the dials and and cupboard. This project acted as a springboard that allowed to be more ambitious with my second project.
These projects were beneficial as they allowed me to improve many aspects of the subdivision workflow from better modelling techniques, efficiency and familiarity with the program to incorporating ZBrush, baking, and texturing. With the confidence and understanding of underlying functions it allowed me to create with confidence that the result would be how it was desired.
Thanks for viewing my projects and entry!
