Nila Toumayeff | Hard Surface Art Showcase 2022- 2023
Hello there! I'm a student at SAE Institute Geneva, passionate about Hard Surface prop modelling and texturing for video games. This is a showcase of my best work done during the last year.
Alyce
Photorealistic flintlock pistol inspired gun based on a concept from Frankie Perez
I chose to model this gun to challenge myself in sculpting ornaments and photorealism. It's optimised to be a hero prop for games like Hunt showdown with 16'552 tris and only one 4K texture since it's not modular. I used a workflow adapted for games industry with the help of Alex Medina's tutorial and a few feedback. Modelled in 3Ds max, ornaments and details were sculpted in zbrush, textures made in Substance painter and rendered with Marmoset Toolbag 4.

Ancient Chinese Weapons
The next two projects were made together based on the concepts from Nicolas Vallée.
I chose to explore a realistic ancient Chinese style of weapons to learn the basic prop modelling, sculpting, texturing and rendering process. The two weapons have a rather high polycount for a game environment but I wanted to keep details to make nice portfolio projects. The Dragon jade Axe has 19'049 tris, the Ninjato has 9'342 and use one 2k texture each. Modelled in 3Ds max, Sculpt of details were sculpted in zbrush, textures made in Substance painter and rendered with Marmoset Toolbag 4.
