Bearbrick x Chinese New Year

Introduction

I have always loved the collectible toy Bearbrick, and when the Chinese New Year festivities drew near, I was inspired to create a C4D project. 

With a flash of inspiration, I combined the collectible toy Bearbrick with the Chinese New Year traditions, resulting in three simple animations that showcase the unique characteristics of both.

Sketches

To create these animations, I began by sketching ideas on my iPad.

Once I finalized the sketches, I used them as a basis to create the models and animations in C4D.

As I worked on the project, I added additional elements that weren't in the sketches to make the animations more lively and cinematic.

Progress

I aimed to create a mix between realism and cartoonish elements in the outcome, so I built the materials accordingly.

For the renders, I used the built-in render options in C4D.
