Half Moon Hotel
Half Moon Hotel is my Senior Thesis Project created in its entirety by me. I am solely responsible for all assets, lighting, materials, programming, and set dressing. You play as a concierge bot in your assigned wing of an understaffed space hotel, catering to guests' whims.
Trailer
Gameplay
Half Moon Hotel was developed and built in Unreal Engine 4.27, with the game design, game mechanics, and scripting entirely coded and created by me.
Environment Screenshots
Here are some of my environment screenshots, featuring the hotel hallway and two different hotel rooms. The models were built using Maya, textures were built using Photoshop, Designer, and Painter, and lighting was generated through Unreal Engine 4.27.
Modeling Breakdown
Modeled Assets
Hallway
I created the hallway using multiple meshes that lined together or were bashed into each other, with the illusion of being a modkit. Some of the unique models I created were the doors at the end of the hallway as well as the floor and ceiling.Hotel Rooms
I created the hotel rooms using a modkit, with repeating walls, archways, and ceiling pieces. Each hotel room was built the same but set dressed differently or mirrored.
Character
You play as R0-L0, a concierge bot in your assigned wing of the hotel. You are always a little grumpy from not getting enough sleep and catering to guests' many unreasonable whims.
Visual Development
Here is some of my visual development before I started modeling and blocking out the game in Maya and Unreal 4.
