Hi there! Name's Andy and I'm a Spanish 3D environment and hard surface artist on Animum's master degree on 3D environment and production. I specialize in stylized artwork for videogames since I come from an ilustration background, but for Animum's master degree I've worked towards showing an understanding for cinema.

Danghost Environment project

Hi! I've spent 2 months working on this 3D environment for my Animum master's degree on 3D environment and production. The idea behind this was to replicate as much as posible in that amount of time one of Sylvain Sarrailh's work for their upcoming game with Umeshu Lovers called Danghost.

Everything from start to finish (excluding the sky matte painting made by Noemí Robles Mas) was made by myself, from the assets and buildings made in maya, to the organic pieces made in zbrush, to the handpainted texturing done in substance painter and photoshop, including folliage atlases which are also handpainted and finishing with lighting and render on Arnold.

Beauty render -> Volume render -> Volumetric pass -> Wireframe render

Alternate point of view of the environment with some inside images of the process (folliage atlas, tileable texture for the floor made in zbursh, texture maps and pureref sheet)

Chevrolet Impala 1960

My first project on the master's degree was to develop an exact replica of a car, I wanted to go for a car with character and interesting shapes, therefore the Chevrolet Impala from the 60's was the perfect candidate!

Some extra shots with it's respective wireframe render

Some extra renders with detail views, textures used (note: flames are handpainted) and pureref in order to provide an insight of the preproduction of the vehicle

Thumper revolver

The last project on my showcase is a Thumper revolver (original concept by Nick Post) my very first project which is the only one rendered in real time and ready for videogame development (tested in Unreal Engine 4 and marmoset toolbag.)
