LookDev Character Model - Guile, Street Fighter

The character I chose to do for my lookdev is Guile from Street Fighter in his Street Fighter 6 design. The goal was to create a slightly more realistic version of him. The reference I used for the face is based off Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. With Derrick’s guidance and advice, I have added a few more accessories on him related to his character to make him look more interesting. The FN FNC Rifle was added based on his 'Unknown Soldier' skin from Street Fighter V, and his iconic sunglasses were also put in.

Game Character - Weapon Master

The original concept for this piece is Weapon Master by Sora Kim. What I really like about this concept is that it has an appealing and strong character, yet it still shows her feminine charm.

Definitely the biggest challenge of this was to get my sculpt to look like the concept, and my lecturer Julian Khor really helped me along the way. From how much muscle should be shown while keeping her feminine look, to the amount of wear and tear for storytelling, he has taught me a lot. I definitely would not have gotten my model to this state without his help.

Game Environment - Escape Game

The original concept for this piece is Escape Game by Antoine Boutin. When I first saw the concept, I really liked the mood and lighting, which was the reason I chose to model it.

The process of modelling the environment was tough and gruesome as I underestimated the amount of work to be done even though the concept looked simple. A lot of time was spent on texturing and lighting the scene. I managed to finish it in the end thanks to the help of my lecturer Venny Lie, who gave a lot of feedback on what could be better every time I showed her my progress.
