Hi there! I am happy to share two of my projects with you. A realistic creature and a matte painting shot. Hope you enjoy them!

CREATURE PROJECT

I created this creature as part of a student exchange to the Animation Workshop. I built the entire asset, starting with the concept all the way to comping the final images. This was a great learning experience, because we had some amazing mentors who gave us feedback and taught us a lot throughout the entire project. I learned Maya and Mari from scratch and got to refresh my ZBrush and VRay skills as well.

Special Thanks to our mentors: Kim Strandli, Daniele Orsetti, Brynn Metheney and Josh Parks

For this shot I drew inspiration from the Love, Death & Robots episode Sonnie's Edge.

Mari Node Setup

Software used:

Sculpting: Zbrush

Hardsurface Modeling: Blender

Texturing: Mari for organic textures and projection of TexturingXYZ displacement maps, Substance Designer for generating some additional maps, Substance Painter for texturing hardsurface parts

Lookdev, Lighting & Rendering: Maya with Vray

Compositing: Nuke

Dystopian City Matte Painting

I did this shot as part of a Nuke compositing class. The goal was to practice matte painting setups and 3D workflows in Nuke.

The buildings were all created from photo textures in Blender and then rendered as still images. I then placed and tweaked all the elements in Nuke. For the character I used a model and animation from mixamo.
