Hi everyone! Here is my  submission for this year's Rookie Awards 2023. My name is Leong Guan Ling and I'm a 3D Modeler and Texture artist from Malaysia. I'm recent graduate from The One Academy, Malaysia. Passionate creating Environment, Character, Weapon,Prop and making them look alive and real. And also, can challenge myself to achieve the result same as my reference.

Texture Breakdown

A personal work that was inspired by Stray. During this project I decided to learn some new softwares like Unreal Engine, Speed Tree. Had learn something new like how to use Marmoset to do the baking details and also playing around lighting with lumen . All asset in the scene are mix with 1k, 2k and 4k textures game asset model.

Reference/Texture 

A personal work that was inspired by by the artist Son Nam Jo on Artstation. Had learn something new like how to optimize a scene for games, learn about Udims and play around with differrent cinematic lighting. All model are mix with 2k and 4k textures game asset model.

Did researches on the grenade's form and mechanics, also applied cracks and scratches on the model to make it feels more natural and damaged.

Tried different ways to play around with the texture, also studied how stylized texture works and make adjustment base on my own judgement

A personal work that is inspired by Arcane. So much Inspiration after watching the Arcane series! Anyways, I had fun playing around especially texturing progress.
