SN-AI-1

Starting things off with a quick and dirty concept sketch. I've never considered 2D art to be my thing but it's still a nice way to get my ideas down and start ideating, though I'll inevitably end up changing things as I start the model.

My initial idea was some sort of cleaning robot akin to that little guy from Wall-E, but to up the cute factor I wanted to work some kind of animal in there. While snails may not be the first cute animal that comes to mind, them being close to the ground, with a built in container for rubbish, and the possibility of large expressive eyes, sold me on the idea. Also switching out the classic goo trail for a sparkly clean path being left in it's wake seemed like a nice touch.

Add in a classic robot "switch out some letters for numbers and call it a day" name, and Sanitation Artificial Intelligence Version 1.0 (or Sn-AI-1, for short) was born.
