Final Renders

After a few hours of sleep, I managed to finish my character. Since my last update I had little free time for J-Bit but I managed to continue with the challenge. I would have liked to add more details to help the storytelling of my proposal but I'm happy with what I did, I had fun and I expanded my knowledge of 3d modeling and textures being faithful to the initial idea.

Modeling #3

Finally I have finished the modeling phase. After modeling the arm it was much easier to model the leg. I liked being able to interpret my initial concept very accurately. Now it's time to create the UV maps and the texturing phase, I will have to look for content to learn more and improve my skills in this phase.

Modeling #2

In this update I added small details to the cap and the magnet on the back. I'm also making the arm but it's been a little difficult to model it, even so, I'm liking how it looks. I have yet to create the thumb.

Color proofs

I tried several base color combinations, in the end I chose a blue and yellow color dyad for J-Bit. When I'm in the texturing process, I'll add more details on it.

J-Bit Concept Art

Description

J-Bit is a small sound speaker, designed and manufactured to accompany skateboarders on their rides around the city while listening to their favorite music, making graffiti and pasting decals. When turned off, it has a capsule shape with the cap facing backwards. To turn it on, the cap is turned 90 degrees until it is on its side, at which point its body opens vertically, revealing the screen and revealing the extremities of its body, which have protections for falls.

He has an anti-shock screen on which he displays short messages and where his eyes are, which can be moved across the screen, thus having a 340-degree horizontal view. J-Bit uses a small flying skateboard that attaches to his feet and back with magnets, the magnet on his back is also a solar panel that allows him to charge his energy. It has a knob that changes the mode of use, within each of them its functions are controlled by voice commands. It has 3 modes of use:

Music: Plays the music lists of the applications connected to it.

Call: Allows you to make and receive calls.

Recording: With his eyes he can record videos of the best skateboard tricks!

Character Design

Note: In a couple of days I will be choosing the color palette for the character and the skateboard.
