Game Ready Katana
I created the katana in Blender. I used instanced meshes to make the hand wrap. I used uv overlapping. Along with some uv stretching to get the best texture resolution. I textured it in substance painter.

I instanced the handle wrappings and overlapped many of the uvs to save texture space. I tried stretching the blade's uvs to get a better resolution for the texturing phase.
