The Treatment

A small group of pirates wage their survival by stealing and smuggling from the looming mining corporation which has imposed substantial sanctions and restrictions on the planet, the mining Corp is here for one reason. Mineral mining, a highly valuable and profitable business which is reputable throughout these territories. 

To survive within this unhospitable world, this group of pirates deals with some of the galaxies most formidable crime syndicates, with an exceedingly good reputation among countless systems they steal and smuggle valuable minerals from the mining corporations into the hands of the highest paying crime lords. 

The Planet in which the events of this project occur, a barren and lifeless outer colony planet. Since the discovery of valuable minerals deep within its crust, the mining Corp has stripped this planet of all the riches it beholds. The vast amount of industrial activity is rendered visibly from outer space. Colonies on this planet have inhabited the vast open cast mines that have scorched the planet, these settlements provide a rich haven for pirates who seek to be hidden from the authorities. 

An example of the mineral mines, although an abandoned mine shaft, locals who seek to earn from the wealth within wage their living here. 3D modelled in Maya and Photoshop Paint over. 

Pirate Speeder Design: A light single person operated speeder, its sharp fin at the front is designed to Aerodynamically cut through the air making it one of the fastest craft around. 

                         Pirate/ Smuggler Character Designs 

This universe is a worn and well lived in one, the clothing and armoury of these characters is usually up cycled and reused parts that have been scavenged from the abandoned machinery of the mining corporations. The Mineral Mines, where much of the conflict takes place contain traces of chemicals toxic to the human condition, therefore it is vital for these characters to have the highest quality of breathing apparatus equipment.

Villain Character Designs: The head security officer peruses and destroys pirates for the benefit of the Mining Corporations. He seeks to gain a monopoly among the leaders who control this planet and its wealth.

At his bidding he has countless battalions of security and defence workers. These people act as a policing force to impose sanctions and control on the planet and its people, these also peruse pirate and smuggling activity.
