This is two of the projects I did during The Game Assembly portfolio course.

I made most of my high polys in a Maya to Zbrush workflow with live booleans. I previously did not enjoy this workflow but through this project I really fall in love with it and it's now a workflow I use almost daily!

I wanted to push my modelling skills by making every (major) part of the weapon. I've skipped some parts (such as the springs) that I thought would increase the total tri count too much. It has been an interesting process finding references for all the internal parts and a fun challenge figuring out how they work together.

In this project I wanted to challenge myself with a project focused more on lighting and composition in UE4, while still making a hard surface hero prop. All modelling was done in Maya, baked in marmoset and textured in Substance Painter.

The big challenge for me was the composition and lighting process. As I'm still developing my lighting skills, getting feedback from teachers and classmates was crucial!

I used Quixel for tilable textures.
