Round of applause for our sponsors

Hello, my name is Praba Anandasundaram. I am currently in my last year of my studies. I went to a film school to become a Compositior. Now that I'm almost done 4 years later, I can almost call myself a compositor. But I learned a lot more than just compositing, I actually became a CG generalist, and became supervisor for our graduation projects. It is sometimes hard work to do everything, but it makes it extra fun to be able to taste everything.

I am very happy that I was able to do everything, because after my studies I will specialize in compositing, and I will miss it all.

Below you can see my recent work :)

Above you can see the opening shot of our graduation film EOS, I did the layout, matte painting, rendering and compositing. Layout is done in Solaris and it is rendered with Renderman. I am also the supervisor of this film and have also done set supervision. More about EOS can be found here link.

Above is a shot from Solon. I directed this project and I was also the supervisor. I did a lot of layout and lighting myself. And with this shot I also did Compositing. More about Solon can be found here link.

This project is called the GSO and is a keying assignment. I wanted to make an under water scene. To mimic caustics I used a bucket of water and broken mirrors and let that reflect with a lamp.

Everything is done in comp and match move in 3Dequalizer.

Creature creation.

The goal of this project is to create a creature in Zbrush and it must contain a FX element from Houdini. And it has to be a bullet time effect.

I rendered 1 frame here and projected everything in Nuke

Above you see two comp shots from two different short films

For the school project Armageddon I was on the FX team and I was responsible for Rigid Body Dynamics, and did the texturing and shading of the building.
