Spite: Legacy

"With the celestial gods behind you, fight your way through hordes of plague infected abominations to stop the spread."

Spite: Legacy is an action rpg created at The Game Assembly. The game is a Diablo-clone made in our group's own custom engine "Cog3D" developed for PC using DirectX 11. The project span for 14 weeks halftime (20h/week) with a group consisting of 18 people in total. 4 Game Artists, 3 Animators, 2 Level Designers, 3 Tech Artists and 6 Programmers.

The game follows Jenna, the daughter of a monk dead long ago. Jenna makes her way through the four areas of ancient caves, guided by her father's spirit. Throughout her adventure, Jenna faces many challenges in the dark caverns of the underground. Her mission: To find and defeat the ancient evil which is corrupting the land.

Jenna's journey starts in the Cave of Tenebris, where she learns her first abilities, Tiger Dash and Holy Grounds. She then proceeds up the icy Peak Yara where the corruption has led to freezing temperatures. Jenna must progress across the Peak to find the Passage of Mal'Sun. 

The Passage of Mal'Sun takes Jenna across a great chasm, collapsed ruins scattered across the cavern walls and in the depths below tell tales of a civilization long gone. Dark shapes with glowing eyes awaiting within.

Finally! The Shi'Loen Ruins where the heart of the corruption resides. This is where Jenna must face her life's greatest challenge, the Plague God. The source of the corruption, an ancient evil like nothing else. However, she's not alone...
