Last year projects - Concept art
Hello, I am Ana and I am finishing my studies of Illustration and Concept art at UA School, in Valencia. These are the projects I did during this last year and some personal works. Hope you like them!
Project: Nature's Wrath
In this project we had to design a realistic project, and I started practising with 3D and photobashing for the first time. I decided to make an apocalyptic world based on survival while avoiding confrontations with the cultists.
A huge solar flare has caused the whole electronic system in the world to collapse. People started to panic and robbing to survive. 5 years have passed and nature has taken over everything. Some think of surviving and others that the solar flare was a punishment from god for living around technology.
For weapon props, I designed them thinking about "if I was in danger and had to defend myself without any real weapon, what could I use of what I have around me?" and ended up with these made-up weapons.
As a vehicle, I thought they could use a huge school bus, because they could use it both to transport survivors or to camp with it. The engine has been replaced with a militar truck one.
Production interior where I imagined them based on campments inside destroyed buildings.
Exterior environments of the world I designed. A city being taken by nature, where survivors try to live. Also a gas station, a nice place for getting goods.
Production paintings! One of them represents survivors living on campments outside the cities. The second one is the entrance of that campment.
Final Fantasy IX Reboot
For this project, we had to make a reboot of some characters from FFXI, with the style that we wanted.First, we had to do a remake of Red Rose airship. I wanted to maintain some shapes from the original but change the overall structure.
Red Rose interior. We can see some of the internal structure and functioning, and also the Queen's rest place.
Beatrix re-design. I wanted to force her sword to look like a flower, and used roses all over the design.
Also, we had to fully design a dungeon with its own boss and mechanics. I wanted to make a two phase boss with some power up, and lava related.
And the splash for Moria, the boss I designed previously. I wanted to express her personality and agresiveness with it. You can also see some of the process below.
