Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse style studies and fan art
As a long-time Spidey fan and comic art lover, I was completely blown away by the Sony Pictures Animation film and its gorgeous visuals. I fell in love with the screen-tone shading style and wanted to do some studies of it myself. The film perfectly encapsulates how comics can and should be brought to the big screen.

Here I worked on emulating the layers of detail for different textures - using 'benday dots' and cross-hatching for the red of the suit while using a diagonal-hatch for the smoother surfaces such as the blue and Peter's belly.
I also tested the same techniques on environments such as clouds and buildings to convey texture and complexity, which works incredibly well for detailing!
