This is a custom solver I created in Houdini, designed to simulate the growth of microscopic crystals. The solver works by spreading the existing crystals every frame, while also recursively growing new crystals on the existing crystals. The crystals will continue to grow until they either hit the border or collide with another crystal.
The solver was made entirely in VEX.
