Hello, my name is Avery and I am 20 years old. I have loved games ever since playing the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess during my childhood. Please enjoy a collection of projects I worked on in the last two semesters for my senior thesis at Otis College of Art and Design.
ANKA: Seeker of the Trumpets
In the year 3000, scavengers survive in wastelands left by massive natural disasters. Scavenger tribes fight over major resources and the direction of mankind as they wait for the rapture.
Anka, a child of the Emeth tribe is taken from her tribe during a raid. After escaping the enemy tribe she returns to find her own lifeless and desolate. From the corner of her eye, she spots a strange creature. It is a whimpering lamb with odd markings. Anka chases the bleeding lamb as he runs into the desert. Following a trail of blood on the sand she finds a magnificent oasis.
The lamb transforms into a giant bovine beast and speaks to her in an echoing voice.
He explains that he is a messenger of God sent on a holy mission to retrieve the seven trumpets. The trumpets are the key to a great cleansing of the earth and the renewal of the land. Walking through the garden oasis he shows her flowers she has never seen and fruit she has never tasted. "Hunger, strife, war, all of this would cease in the land of New Jerusalem... and you are its key".

Anka sets out on her quest to retrieve the seven Holy Trumpets, weapons that are bestowed with sacred properties. In order to prove herself worthy of the first Trumpet, the Trumpet of Flame, she must face its guardian, the Ox Cherubim.
The Wicked Witch of the West
A Cyberpunk take on the Wizard of Oz. Dorthi must embark on a mission to harvest the brain of the Wicked Witch of the West. The Witch transmits her will to her army of intelligent monkeys that terrorize 0Z.
Where the Sea Meets the Sky
He walked into the sea. A usually clear sea that had turned inky black. Why did he allow himself to become enveloped by something he usually navigated with ease? Why did he let the ocean take him, and why couldn't she follow?
Garibaldi Chase
Following the fish down the tunnel, she hoped he would lead her to the memories she had lost.
