Hey, My names Nate. I am currently a student of visual effects and entertainment design at CDW Studios / Flinders University. My passion lies within creating snapshots in time of worlds that don't exist, to hopefully intrigue people and make them want to know more about the world and story.

House of the Spriggan

This image was created for the brief "The grand dilapidated entrance to the house of a crazy collector," some key aspects the design needed to include were that it must feel unsettling yet inviting.

To help inspire myself for this image I created a story based around a Spriggan that took a liking to the house and decided to retake it with nature, in the process he discovered manmade objects such as pots and pans and became fascinated adorning the surrounding forest and the house with them.

Wastelander Paradise

This image was created for my digital painting class at CDW Studios with Ned Rogers. It started off as a free choice greyscale composition and through following instruction it was finished as a colour image.

The story behind the image is that on a mining planet the convict workers overthrow the company holding them there but with limited shuttles, a lot of the workers were left stranded to live life in this inhospitable wasteland.

These images are two different takes on the same fantasy brief of a girl who heard stories of a magic portal within a tree deep in the forest.

The Volcanic Planet

The brief behind this image that a group of scientist crashland on an alien planet where monolithic structures protrude out of volcanic ground.

The Queens gift

This image was based on the brief of "A castle on the edge of a cliff overshadows the village below. The traveller is escorting gifts for the queen.'
