Here's an other 2D-3D that I've worked on recently based on a concept from Dominique VASSIE, I really enjoyed working on it and trying real time techniques and I hope you will like it !

The Conker Fairies
I present to you today the Conker Fairies, a really inspiring concept art made by Dominique VASSIE, that I fell upon on Instagram.
When I saw her concept I got instantly really hyped by the shapes, his creepy but cute looking face and started dreaming of seeing one on the forest floors.
That's basically how the project started, a little sculpt based on her concept, but then the urge of putting it in a little environment became too much to bear and that's how it turned out !
I really wanted to try and expriment, at the time with Unreal Engine 4 for some renders, which came out to be quite a challenge. Even if I had past experiences in this software I've never tried rendering nor lighting and this project helped me a lot to understand how it works and how I could apply it to future projects.
(Disclaimer : in this piece of art I made each assets beside the grass and some moss that can be seen at their feet, which are from Megascan)
