Aziel Rivera / 3D Portfolio
My portfolio entry to the Rookies annual competition consists of both organic and hard-surface models. Each project showcases some or all of the 3D modeling principles and techniques that I have learned. My goal is to work in the film or gaming industry as a 3D modeler.
Gladiator Cyclops: My goal for this model was to mix Sci-Fi and Fantasy to create an original design and model. I created using Zbrush, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Marvelous Designer.
Warrior Monk: This Character model came from my personal interest in warrior classes and martial arts. Almost every aspect of the modeling process was created from scratch, including the IMM brushes and the overall design.
Egyptian Statues: Statue Models that I designed and modeled, in collaboration with an Environment Artist who is using my models in an unreal engine 5 environment.
I collaborated with an environment artist for who I modeled these statues. These are some screenshots he shared with me on his current progress integrating the first statue I sent him in an Unreal Engine Five scene.
Cyber Car: This model is inspired by retro car designs, with a touch of modern sports car elements. My goal was to model something that embodied a retro vibe while introducing some modern flare.
Creature Model: Ceaseless Hunger, fated to the existence of unsatisfaction and malnourishment as its organs writhe in pain. Such is the agonizing existence of this creature, only grasping the fleeting comfort of satisfaction when consuming others. If you are in the night shrowded wilderness and hear its death screech, it's too late.
Armor Model: I am fascinated by historical warfare, armaments, and warriors. When I was picking a subject matter to model, it was a no-brainer.
Broly Fan-Art: Modeled a Stylized-reality version of Ikari state Broly, my favorite of his transformations because it's so unique and intrinsic to his character.
