Lighting  - Unreal Engine 5

On fire - Unreal Engine

I loved the work of Elaine Kubik in The last of us ll and I wanted to recreate a footage that she did for the Games Week 2017.
I've done the environment with megascan assets, the fire and smoke are flipbooks imported from Houdini simulations to Unreal, and the rest of the vfx are made with Niagara (particles and distortion).

Houdini Flipbooks Simulations

Serath Magic VFX - Unreal Engine

I've made this VFX using Serath from Paragon downloaded on the Marketplace.

I imported a vertex animation texture from Houdini for the ground fracture and I've done all the VFX with Niagara. The textures are made with Substance Designer and Photoshop.

Magic Destruction VFX - Unreal Engine

I imported a RBD simulation from Houdini for the ground fracture and I've done all the VFX with Niagara.  The textures are made with Substance Designer and Photoshop.

The character is downloaded from Mixamo.

Gameplay - Unreal Engine

This was the result I obtained a few months ago following Juan Gabriel Gomila Salas's Game Development course with Unreal Engine 4.

In it I was able to obtain the tools and knowledge to generate my own game with Unreal Engine 4. From the creation of Layout, Lighting, programming with Blueprints, VFX implementation, among others.

This is a personal project using Unreal Engine in which I did the Environment and Lighting.

VAT - Houdini - Unreal Engine

A quick test using Vertex Animation Textures from Houdini to Unreal in different Assets.
