La Girafe de Magritte à l´Aube

This piece represents the union between to great artists, René Magritte and Victor Horta, the first one represents the surrealism while the other represents the  art nouveau.

The idea came after watching a painting from Magritte, The cut-glass bath, in where a giraffe rests captive inside a glass in the middle of the desert. 
After I imagined how she could find the way to escape from there through the help from a little girl who is a trampolin jumper and invites Magritte´s giraffe to her swimming pool.

The scenario, the swimming pool, is based and influenced by Victor Horta´s art, one of the pioneers of the art nouveau.

The mirror represents the connection between the two worlds, in one side, the static and surrealistic from the painting of Magritte (with the movement of moon and planets) and in another side is the world that we can see and touch, the 3D world in where te relation between the girl and the giraffe happens.

All the piece is created inside Unreal Engine.
I used  a metahuman as the little girl, and one of the main goals of the piece was to create the aesthetics of the piece through the pass of the day: night, sunride, midday, afternoon and coming back to night.
