This project is an experimental performance capture using Metahuman in Unreal, utilizing motion capture for the animation. This was a group project, completed within six weeks. The project was very technically challenging, as the pipeline for Metahumans in Unreal is still new.

Our story takes place in the 1940s. Our character, orphaned at a young age and raised by the mafia, seeks revenge on the Don. In this scene, we see him revealing his merciless plot for revenge. 

This project was done with Meta Human in Unreal, utilizing motion capture for the animation. This was a very technical project that was completed in six weeks. 


These images showcase some steps from our pre-production phase. The first image is our final concept art. The second two images show our lighting setup that were used for lighting tests.

The first two images are of our group member, Lyndsey Butler,  in the mocap suit. The third image represents incorporating the motion capture data into our CG rig, using Autodesk Motion Builder. The fourth image represents testing our virtual camera using Unreal's LiveLink.  This would give the camera a more natural quality to it.
