Kremastos - Botanical Giga Yacht
In an age of wasteful yachting Kremastos stands to redefine the preconception of opulence by merging utmost luxury with an environmentally conscious approach.
In an age of wasteful excess in the luxury industry Kremastos marks a new approach to a more environmentally conscious concept of luxury. As such the abundance of natural elements and its symbiosis with the owner, as well as the vessel’s environment marks a new luxurious standard.
In order to merge long-established preconceptions of luxury with the emerging sustainable, environmental luxury the ancient Hanging Gardens of Babylon have become a major inspiration when developing Kremastos. As such the opulent royal gardens have been translated into expansive tiered overgrown decks, as well as large waterfalls which practically improve irrigation between the decks, whilst also creating a dynamic visual unity between the multiple decks.
In order to effectively house the envisioned botanical gardens Kremastos was developed as a 200m giga yacht, which through its long, sophisticated proportions appears alike an almost living, moving otherworldly island.
Furthermore, large portions of the botanical gardens are cradled by a sweeping glass canopy, which provides a naturally stable micro-climate within the decks, whilst also casting organic appearing shadows, reminiscent of light shining through leaves.
Aside from the expansive botanical gardens Kremastos also includes large, open interior spaces, intended to create a seamless connection between the overgrown decks and the owner.
The aft section of the yacht houses both the main water feature of the vessel, as well as a large wet dock, allowing the owner to effortlessly board tenders in style.
Whilst providing the owner with tranquil floating botanical gardens, Kremastos more importantly creates a powerful link between opulence and the preservation of our nature by establishing an inherently symbiotic relationship between users and the infrastructure which surrounds them, thus inspiring and further evolving the redefinition of ultimate luxury across the industry.
