Art of a Spartan. I started this model as a self- teaching exercise without Maya base. I did block out work but as I continued to enjoy working on the model I decided he would be a Spartan. I began the modeling with work flow from high poly to low poly on certain parts such as the helmet. Due to a few problems with this I left them in high poly and worked all of them in Zbrush. I also used UV mapping in Maya and Substance 3D Painter for texturing.
For future work I plan to study how to do hair work in Maya with Xgen.
Regarding combat pose I applied Mixamo and added personal touches with Zbrush tools.
The character's final renders were created in Mamoset Toolbag 4.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my first character creation and will continue to advance my learning in every way possible to achieve the highest results.
