To design a fashion boutique for Christian Louboutin at Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. The design capsualizes the image of Christian Louboutin which is well-known of the red color symbolize. The design is going for a French Neo-Classical concept which executes mystic and dazzling feeling.

Louboutin, a French luxury shoe label established by Christian Louboutin in 1991, is well known for its famous signature red sole. There are more than 70 boutiques spread across the world. Christian Louboutin has designed its font and the champagne boxes shows it is a French brand which represents fashion and noble. Christian Louboutin shoes’ targets are fashion, high income and social status women. While Christian Louboutin also designs men shoes, the main targets are still women. 

Comparing with its competitors, other luxury brand shoes, Christian Louboutin maybe have a little requirement to customers. The customers must real love high heels, because heel heights of Christian Louboutin shoes are 120mm and higher. However, having a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes is still a dream of young girls. Christian Louboutin shoes are symbols of fashion and higher social status. Founded in the heart of Paris, the brand's ever-expanding roster of shoes and accessories – including its menswear line – are highly coveted around the world. Due to the founder’s early experiences and learing, he decided to create something to make women feel confident and empowered. 

Christian Louboutin was as a designer to design shoes for some well-known brands for a few years. In 1991, he established his brand and the complimentt of Princess Caroline of Monaco helped this brand improve the fame. Furthermore, the idea from the behavior of assistant, applying red nail polish, leaded him to apply red sole on his shoes. After that, the red sole is as a symbol of Christian Louboutin shoes. Christian Louboutin is best known for its scarlet stilettos. The iconic “red bottoms” were conceived by chance when the designer borrowed his assistant’s nail polish to paint the soles of a design – and instantly fell in love with the outcome. This signature code now features across the label’s glamorous footwear. Through the celebrity endorsement and high quality design, Christian Louboutin becomes one of famous luxury brand. Although this brand generates other fashion products, such as bags, beauty products.

To design a fashion boutique for Christian Louboutin at Unit 2.22.00-2.23.00, L2 & L3 at Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. The built-up floor area of this unit is 1717 square feet. The design capsualizes the image of Christian Louboutin which is well-known of the red color symbolize it’s engaging, flirtatious, memorable, and the color of passion. The design is going for a French Neo-Classical concept which executes mystic and dazzling feeling of Christian Louboutin.

Christian Louboutin’s red-heeled pumps are an unmistakable fashion statement. The flash of color — a bold scarlet — instantly declares that a woman isn’t just wearing heels, she’s wearing Louboutins. The influential industry journal Footwear News noted that Louboutin’s trademark red soles were a “subtle status symbol” and were far more alluring than the overt branding of the big-name luxury brands. Differing stories had been offered for the origin of the coloured soles, but Louboutin said that the hue was inspired by an assistant’s red nail polish. He decided to use red on all his soles, reasoning that “red is more than a colour. It is a symbol of love, of blood, of passion.” Although his passion has always been about creating beautiful designs, Louboutin said what matters most is how women feel about themselves when they step into his shoes.

 From this I developed a mind map starting from the brand’s signature high heels with red bottoms itself which lead me to three keywords: bold, curve and slim. Christian Louboutin is well-known of the red color because it’s engaging, flirtatious, memorable, and the color of passion. I have developed the three keywords that would be incoporated into the interiors of the store. 

First of all is BOLD which could be seen from the use of colors and materials in its interiors. Red is used widely in the interiors such as the carpets, where the color red accentuates the sexy feeling of a woman’s high heels. Secondly would be the CURVES of the heels that could be related to a silhouette of a woman. And this connects with the last keyword which is SLIM, which could be shown in the interiors of the shop through the sleek shape and materials.
