Triandal Village Thesis Projects
This is the project I created for my MFA 3D Modeling thesis project, consisting of one biped model, one quadruped model, one creature model, and one environment model.
Fynn
This is a griffin cub character I created for my MFA 3D Modeling thesis project.
I used Maya to create the base mesh, then ZBrush for sculpting. I brought him back into Maya to use XGen to create the fur and feathers, then used Arnold to render.
Lilieae
This is a moth fairie creature I created for my MFA 3D Modeling Thesis project.
I used Maya for the base mesh, then ZBrush for sculpting. I brought her back into Maya to create the fur with XGen and then rendered with Arnold.
Triandal Treehouse
This is an environment piece I created for my MFA 3D Modeling thesis project. This is the treehouse where Vierra lives and Fynn roosts in the nest on top of the house.
I used Maya to create all of the hard surface objects and the base meshes, then used ZBrush to do all sculpting. I used displacement maps in Maya to bring all of the sculpted details from ZBrush, then used Mash to create the nest and grass, and used Arnold to render.
Viserra
This is my original elven character for my MFA 3D Modeling thesis project.
I created the base meshes in Maya, then sculpted details in ZBrush. I brought her back into Maya using displacement maps for the details on the jacket, pants, and boots. I used MudBox for painting textures and Photoshop to make adjustments to the texture maps. I then applied them using Arnold Standard Shaders and used xGen for the hair, rendering the final product with Arnold.
