Out in the Fells

This is my completed short film for the NCCA / Bournemouth University, Computer Animation Art and Design, completed alongside Oliver Wesson and Rodrigo Mendes. It's a short film about a young queer man, sent away from home, who finds shelter with another young man in the middle of the highlands.
The idea of this film was to show that even if you're not in a safe place to come out at home, or if you came out and things went badly, your identity is still valid. There are others who will understand and accept you, and you just need to find them. The opinions of others don't invalidate you. I can't say how well this idea came across and the story changed significantly over the course of making this short, but I'm proud of how it came out looking. If it can give that message to just one person who needs it, then it will have done its job, to me.
I hope you enjoy it!
