The Goblin's keep
Hi! I'm Ofir, an aspiring environment artist. I've been into 3D for almost 4 years. I started with a 2 year 3D animation course, and then two more years of self-learning, focused mainly on game art.
Inspired by many awesome artists, I decided to create a stylized fortress environment. This is a real-time game environment created in UE5 as a personal project. The main goal of this project was to take my skills to the next level, after more than a year of just learning how to make game art, I wanted to create a full environment.
It was a great experience to explore different styles and learn new workflows and techniques.
The environment was built from scratch, from props to buildings, tiles, trim sheets, and foliage. I combined all my previously learned knowledge and learned a lot during the process
Here are some of the props, most of the props in this scene are between 500-2000 tris and the hero props are in the range of 5000- 20000 tris
In this process view, you can see the different fortress versions. I kept on exploring ideas until I found the desired look.
With the help of many feedbacks, I managed to improve my understanding of color and composition. However, I believe I still have a lot to learn.
