Looking to push and challenge myself further I explored new techniques, software and workflows by implementing and creating my own VFX along with tackling a large scale hard surface project for the first time. All assets are my own, except for the environment and flame VFX at the foot of the model, see references below

Warhammer 40k Fan Art - Death Guard Leviathan Dreadnought

UE4 Game Ready Character

Death Guard Leviathan Dreadnought - UE4 Renders.

My take on a Death Guard Leviathan Dreadnought from Warhammer 40k. Using 3ds Max for the majority of modelling and optimisation, Zbrush for high poly and detailing, Substance Painter for texturing and Unreal Engine 4 for the final presentation.

EmberGen was used along side Niagara to create my own VFX, these being the smoke and embers located at the upper half of the scene. A whole new process and workflow for me, learning some new software and techniques to try and enhance the visual story telling of my characters. Videos will be provided to show these in action.

Software: Zbrush, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, EmberGen, UE4

Megascans assets were used to populate the scene. Adding additional story to the composition. Also, a small amount of fire VFX were used around the base of the model to simply add some subtle lighting to the final presentation.

"M5 VFX Vol2. Fire and Flames" by JeongukChoi, "Lava Field Collections" by Quixel Megascans, "Fantasy Fort Vol. 2" by Quixel Megascans. Listed assets are all sourced from the Unreal Marketplace.

Smoke and Ember assets are my own. These can be seen interacting with the model located in the upper half of the scene.
