Oilception

The encounter between the vision of a child, faced with norms imposed on adults in different societies and times. The confrontation of epochs and cultures are found on the same point. Despite characters each having a more or less modest life, their feelings come together. This project raises the question of whether art, which is a means of expression, really reflects the feelings of the artist and the model. Will the admiring look that we can have against famous works, will change if the models were happier?

A child is confronted with many situations, facing adults rooted in their society and in reality. She shares her positive outlook on life. It is a contemporary vision, of a child bringing his culture more free in more limited times. The innocence of the child, makes joy and sweetness for lost and sad characters. They find a smile, a laugh or an accomplice.

"Art is an emotion, not a sensation" John Cowper Powys

This quote reflects what we want to pass on. The emotion that passes through a person in the snapshot. The aesthetics of the film is based on a semi-realistic style. This helps to better convey the feelings of the characters and highlight the character traits of each. This story is centered on a psychological evolution.

First by the atmosphere that reflects their state of mind. Then the light that gives a temporal landmark. Then by the fact that there is no dialogue, they communicate by the look, the gestures, insisting on their emotions. It's a mix between the imaginary and the real. The child can go back in the past, but that has an impact on our present.
