Hello, I'm Amandine, and today, for the Rookie Awards 2022, I present to you my 3D characters and hair project. I like the creative aspect of modeling as much as the technical aspect in the engine.

Princess Ariana- Real Time

My biggest personal project of this year, a full game ready character based on a concept by Hong Cha.

To made this project I started by sculpting in ZBrush, then made the cloth in Marvelous Designer, modeling/retopology/UVs in Maya, made the hair texture with Hair Strand Designer and placed the hair cards also in Maya, baking and texturing in Substance Painter, rigged and posed with Advanced Skeleton.
I also used  ZWrap and Mari to project micro details on the skin.

I have set-up a full alterable skin shader, that allow to set subsurface scattering and roughness in specific area independant from others.

It's a WIP, I still need to work with the texturing of the fabrics and the gold part !

Rendered in Unreal Engine 5.

Long Hair Bun - Real time UE

Another Hair design I did to practice real-time hair creation. It is game ready.
I wanted to create a messy bun with lot of flyaways.

I used Hair Strand Designer to generate an hair texture and then I placed the hair cards on Maya.
For the hair shader I use the Digital Human one as a based, I clean it and ad some features.

Rendered in Unreal Engine 5.

General - Real time UE4

It's a real-time character I create during my free time end 2020 early 2021, who has 51k triangles for modeling part and 19k triangles for the hair-cards part.

To made this project I started by sculpting in ZBrush, then made the cloth in Marvelous Designer, modeling/retopology/UVs in Maya, baking and texturing in Substance Painter, for this project I made the hair texture with Xgen in Maya baked it with XNormal and placed the hair cards also in Maya.
I also used ZWrap and Mari to project micro details on the skin.

I really appreciate working on this project, I did learn a lot of things during the process.
