Project Aufwachen - Worldbuilding project and portfolio - Iker Vidal 2022

PROJECT AUFWACHEN

The earth. After years of exploitation of natural resources by humans  it has already become arid and almost uninhabitable. The plants and animals that have survived the eradication of their natural habitats and the solar radiation that has been increasing due to the destroyed ozone layer they have evolved and mutated into much more aggressive beasts willing to do anything to feed themselves. Humans, for their part, live secluded in highly technological cities known as Oasis and have begun to experiment with the human DNA to create super soldiers and take back the earth. Aufwachen Project or human awakening project is the name of the project.

The first attempts at genetic modification in humans did not give the expected results, many children died in the process when others, upon reaching adolescence, did not give the expected results they were thrown out of the city as if they were garbage at the mercy of the predators. What the people of Oasis did not know is that a resistance had formed outside the cities with those who opposed to genetic modification in humans and those children were picked up by them. We currently have four super soldiers in the ranks of the resistance forming an elite team. Verbant Squad each one of them with a special ability.
