Gameplay animation movesets in Unreal Engine 4
For these projects I wanted to make more advanced locomotion systems in Unreal Engine 4. I recorded all animations myself with a motion capture suit and edited the animations in Autodesk Motionbuilder. I then set up the logic and state machine in Unreal with visual scripting.
I work with motion capture data iteratively. In the first stage I push more appealing poses and clean up arcs. Afterwards, I adjust the timing of the animation to make it more appropriate for gameplay input. These steps are shown in the video above.
