Character design and portfolio
This entry is a summary of the path traveled during this year, in which I have seen characters, props, environments. All this journey has helped me to realize that I want to focus on characters and props for them, hence the birth of the Lune project.
These are the first steps of Lune, a personal project focused both on the design of the characters and their props of the inhabitants of the city of Lune. In this beginning I bring you the vampire Bastian and the weapon of one of the inhabitants
Bastian is a cruel , dismissive and authoritorian vampire who enjoys the suffering and despair of the people.
In the moodboard, the images of suits stand out. The idea was to make the vampire look good to the naked eye, as this would make it easier for him to attract his victims.
The first thing was to do a study of faces and silhouettes to define the character. Of all the silhouettes I chose number 5, because although it is a somewhat static pose, the set of all the elements with the finger pointing give it a certain authority.
As for the faces, I chose number 4 because I was looking for vampire with a young appearance and with and not too marked features.
The colors I chose for the character were blue and red since this combination of cold and warm tones would highlight the character more. I also painted his eyes completely dark blue with red pupils, not only to make them stand out more but also to have certain predatory touch.
To show a little the nature of the character, I considered appropriate to make a small study of expressions
The idea was to create a weapon that he could use to torture his victims but he could sneak around the street. Based on that I was inspired by the rapiers to design it. Among all the silhouettes I chose number 7 since it was the best suited that idea.
Sniper rail riffle is the main weapon of one of the inhabitants of Lune. The idea was to create a weapon made from different objects or parts of other weapons that had been found lying around.
Among all the silhouettes I chose number 9 because I think it is the most complete both for the shapes and for the functionality of the weapon, since some of them, the weapon could not work.
When it came to coloring the weapon, my idea was that the type of weapon would not attract the attention, so in the most of test I used an monochrome color scheme. Among all of them I chose number 1 since it was the one that fit me the most because of how I imagined the city of Lune.
In this section I will show you some small projects that I did during this year
Scarlett is a small character design project. The idea was to design a woman who lives in a world where magic and technology coexist. She did not have much luck in life and from a very young age she had to learn to fight and develop her wits to survive.
In this section, what I did was combine all the previous silhouettes and create 4 new ones, with the difference that this time I colored the different parts to check that the design was more or less balanced.
Old Soto is a small environment design project. The idea was to graphically represent an environment that for a time was repeated in my dreams.

In this section I will show you some studies I did during this year
Although I created this image for the Stranger things contest, because I think the exploration process was not very good, I have chosen to add it as a study. The idea was to redesign the character of eleven, in this case the one from the first season, with the difference that I added elements that were not from that time, such as the Tamagochi.
