Bryan Lozano Rookies 2022 Entry
For my entry to The Rookie Awards 2022 I chose to showcase one environment, one props and one character that I've created in the last few months. These works demonstrate my skills in modeling, texturing, sculpting, and the real-time environment inside Unreal.
Weapon - 20190614
This is a personal project where I created a 3D weapon game ready
I had already modeled weapons in 3D and all my previous works are stylized, that why with this work, I wanted to practice realistic textures. I wanted to challenge myself to see my current level in a realistic style
The project was created using 3DSMax, Substance Painter and Marmoset.

Vending machine UE4
After playing Genshin Impact, I wanted to create an environmental project with this artistic direction. At the beginning, I wanted to create an environment for a personal game project. Then, I finally decided to create a specific stage and render it for my portfolio.
The main objective of this project was to create an environment in Unreal, learn how to use materials in UE4, and include it in my portfolio.
The project was created using 3DSMax, Zbrush, Substance Painter/Designer and Unreal Engine 4.
Moodboard and breakdown
During this project, my workflow looked like this : 3DSMax for the base modeling, Zbrush for the Sculpt / High poly, Substance Painter / Designer for textures, Photoshop for alpha creation, and Unreal for level assembly, material creation and VFX.
For the vending machine, I was inspired by one of Nathalia Tsy’s works. Seeing her vending machine gave me an idea, merge a vending machine and a Candy Up.
Hino - Anima -
This is a game ready character, her name is Hino and she is a character with a free soul. I took a lot of fun to doing this piece, it was a great and fun learning experience.
The project was created using 3DSMax, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter and Marmoset.
