The Darjeeling Limited - Train Compartment

Really enjoyed working on this project. I was really skeptical at first because I was finding it really hard to approach the scene in a modular way. I recently watched the movie the Darjeeling Limited by Wes Anderson and really liked what they did with Indian Train, elegance mixed with Indian atmosphere. While the usual train compartment of the Indian train is not this fancy for me making this was nostalgic. I learned to make props as quickly as possible as I was required to complete it in 5 weeks while keeping the modularity in mind. I made the curtain in Marvelous Designer and retopologized it in Maya then finally textured in Substance. For the pattern on the wall, roof and luggage I used Substance Designer and finalized them in Subtance Painter. It is faster from me to make patterns in Designer and detailing in Painter.

The only thing taken from Megascans is the cigarette box also I took the LUT of the movie from theLutHut website as I have not much experience with color grading. 

The JVC Camcorder Hero Prop 

This is my hero prop project at the Think tank Environments & Props for Games course. I really learned what it takes to make even simplest of the prop good. After completing the textures I thought the story was a little lacking so I made a story of a kid drawing on it after being left alone with it. I wanted the drawing to be faded away with time but I was enjoying them too much so I left them alone. This is done with 4k textures.
