This is a peek into my creative process and creations- 3D artwork from characters, to environments, and props I've created before and during my time at Gnomon School of Visual Effects.

Atlantis

Disney's Atlantis has always been one of my favorite movies since I was young- and I've always wanted to see it imagined in 3D. I went ahead and did so myself, recreating the Throne Room environment in full 3D based off the movie's art. All assets were created by me from scratch. This is one of my favorite projects I've ever worked on, and the process was so much fun for me.

Created with Blender, Maya, zBrush, Substance, SpeedTree and rendered in Unreal Engine 4.

Nighttime Pool

The perfect spot to run away at night with friends and enjoy some easy fun- swim in the glowing lights under palm trees, relax and lay by the lazy river in the food court, or climb the steps of the lighthouse to take a slide into the water! This was a fully original concept that I used to further my Unreal Engine skills, and was a ton of fun to focus on the general 'vibe' of a place like this.

Created with Blender, Substance, zBrush, and rendered in Unreal Engine 4.

Midna

The Legend of Zelda- like many other people- has been a large part of my life and inspiration from a young age. One of my favorite games in the series has always been Twilight Princess, and my favorite character in the series Midna originates from the game. I wondered what a more realistic take on her would look like, so I created this version of her while learning zBrush.

Created with zBrush, Substance and Maya- rendered in v-Ray.

Concept art from Nintendo.

The Journey of Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts is probably my biggest inspiration across all media- I've been fascinated and drawn into the world since I first began playing videogames as a kid. The original game, Kingdom Hearts, came out in 2002. The game had a strong style and charm that came with it, that I wanted to reimagine with modern graphics and capabilities. I recreated each of the important 'original' worlds from the series where a majority of the story took place; this was one of my earliest Unreal Engine projects and taught me so much about the process before I even started college.

Created in Blender, Substance, and Unreal Engine 4.

Original levels from Kingdom Hearts 1 for reference.

Happy Gear

One more Kingdom Hearts based work- this time a prop! This was an exercise in creating props for games, and working with a high to low poly process through baking. I recreated the Happy Gear keyblade from Kingdom Hearts 3, based off the concept art.

Created with Maya, Substance, and rendered in v-Ray.
