Hi! This is my brand new VFX demo reel, I really hope you like it! I have learn a lot from all these work. 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, basic animations and compositing... I particularly enjoyed the rigging and compositing processes, as they were really challenging!

Hi! May I present you my very first VFX Demo Reel as a VFX Generalist. It took a lot of work over many months, these are all scenes from personal proyects that I have created myself from the ground up.

I hope you like it!

Please allow me to walk you over my whole process, down below I attach two image sliders and some comments over two of the most demanding scenes of my video.

-The first step is to do some sketching (to the best of my habilities), to help me visualize the scene and all work that it may imply, often I also roughly composite some of the pre-production scene assets and main references.

-Then I start carefully working on all the assets that will come to play a role on the scene. In this case, the theatre and the cg crowd that populates it.

-And finally, I render out all the final assets and composite them together, trying to always create sense and above all trying my best to create the impression that the were filmed at the same exact time.

This is a fine example of how I actually work on an asset in particular, we will take a deeper look on the whale:

-In this case, right after the pre-production work, I start sculpting our whale from a ball.

-Once I'm happy with the result, It's time to do some retopology, already thinking of the rigging process. Then, I UV map the model and work on the textures.

-Then, I work on the model's rig, in order to get the animation going. Lastly I set up some lights, trying to emulate and underwater atmosphere. Now it's only a matter of rendering out  the animation and finish the production phase for this asset.
