Character Concept Art
2 character concepts I've made together with a collection of lineart drawings from various other personal projects.
Wave-Priest
For this character I wanted to explore some historical clothing that I personally haven't seen represented much in concept art, and mix it with something contrasting. I chose clothing from 15th - 16th aristocratic society which has a lot of colours, puffy sleeves and pants, big hats and feathers. This I mixed with a zombie theme which is very common place in modern media. The zombies in this instance are all resurrected people that have drowned out at sea, which allowed me to mix in motifs of sunken ships and sea creatures.
This character in perticular was inspired by a hermit crab.
This character is part of a faction of sunken sailors which has been risen from their watery grave by an unknow power deep below the sea. The Wave-Priests act as the mediator between the hive mind of resurrected sailors and the source of this power, which is referred to as their God. They do this by reading the motions of the waves and tracings in the sand.
Jailor of the Damned
This project started with me wanting to practice thumbnailing and trying out a new brush. I knew I wanted to do some eerie undead-like creature handling souls in limbo and started my thumbnailing from there.
