VILLA MONT-RAS

THE VILLE 

Located in a beautiful place surrounded by vegetation and nature. It is a house from the mid-90s, in a classic contemporary style, which stands out for its majestic open interior patio and its gallery of columns.

Like the series 'Bridgerton', the house captivated me when I first saw it. Both the interior and the garden had a sober and austere design that did not highlight the house or give it value.

That is why I set myself the challenge of the Master's Thesis, to design this house. Respecting the building, modifying the exterior and interior distribution of the house, its design, and decoration. 

INSPIRATION

As I mentioned before, I took as a reference the 'Bridgerton' series, based on the Julia Quinn book saga, which attracted me from minute one.

The photography, the color, the majestic costumes, the sets… It looks like a painting that you never tired of seeing.

At the same time, the series shows what the 19th century would be like with the absence of racism and the presence of great diversity, which has served as an idea in the design of this house. 

DESIGN

The series delicately and subtly shows the life stories of the characters. Based on this, I wanted to transmit through the design, the life of these people through the passage of this recreational house, from the kitchen to the garden.

I have taken "HARMONY" as an idea, as in the utopian society that they recreate in the series, I want to represent that diversity of complementary colors, textures, contrasting materials... Together they form a balance full of LIFE, LIGHT AND COLOR. 

TRENDS

Eclecticism is a booming trend in decoration.

He is interested in the variety and combination of styles, mixing the classic and the modern, the geometric and the organic, the colorful and the neutral... 

MATERIALS

There is a variety of materials, from classic, like marble or polished brass, to modern, like lacquer.

Velvet and rich fabrics with a lot of style and charm from brands like Ka International, The Venon, Casamance.

The Osborne and Little wallpaper loaded with nature, brings freshness to the living room and recreates that escape from reality.

Elena Garnu's illustration is full of character and emotion.

The herringbone floor of the entire room symbolizes all that continuity and connection between spaces, as well as the frames of the passageways that subtly allow a glimpse of the rooms. 

THE GARDEN

All the components that make it up, such as the pool, the flower beds, the barbecue area, the vegetation... do not remain as elements that go by themselves, but rather create a unit that adapts and enhances the majesty of the house. 

REALIZATION

Modeled with 3ds Max, rendered with Vray  and post-production with Adobe Photoshop 

Almost all the villa`s floors have been modeled thanks to the “Floorgenerator” tool. I have also used the “Forest Pack” tool to be able to make a variety of exterior vegetation.

Thanks to these tools, they give the images a more realistic finish.
