Supernatural - Props

After graduating, I wanted to build my portfolio and improve my 3d modeling and texturing skills. I had only worked on stylized models previously, and I wanted to dip my toes in the creation of highly-detailed, realistic props.

Due to this, I had the idea to reimagine Supernatural as a video game and recreate some of the most iconic props of the show.

Sawed-off Shotgun

One of the first props I worked on was a Vintage western-inspired sawed-off shotgun. The most challenging part of the prop was the intricate decorations and engravings.

The First Blade

The First Blade was the first prop created for this project. 

My goal with this prop was to get out of my comfort zone and to get familiar with organic modeling. 

Baby - 1967 Chevrolet Impala

Working on the Impala was the most difficult and challenging part of this project. It was my first time working on a vehicle, and it was the most complex prop I had ever created to date. 

Photogrammetry based materials 

One of my main goals this year was to build my own material library for future environments. To accomplish this, I learned how to create materials from photographs using Materialize. 

I took strolls around the city and parks during cloudy days and photographed every surface I thought would be useful and/or interesting. 

All the materials are seamless.
