The game tells a story about a heartless witch who encounters a blind boy in the forest and finds out what is the most important aspect of her life. The story setting is based on the medieval period when witch-hunting is a common practice among the townsfolk, the protagonist, Heather the witch, despises humans and isolated herself. However, a blind boy who accidentally ran into the forest has caused a change in the witch's temporary peaceful life......
Lacuna Witchery is best experienced by players who prefer slow-paced games, targeted platforms include PC and Nintendo Switch. The player plays as a heartless witch that lives alone and explores the forest to collect ingredients for witchcraft. They also get to make daily choices to witness different stories and endings.
The core mechanic of this game is simple, they include walking around, clicking to pick up items, or interacting with objects. There is a total of 8 days in the game, each day has special events awaiting players to explore. On the final day, players shall arrive to an ending according to the choices they made for the past 8 days.
The core message of this game is: There is no absolute correct way to live, there is only choices and consequences.
