2D Concept Art - Eleanor Kirkwood
Hi there! This is a collection of my 2D concept work around character, environment, and prop design - as well as some of my illustration work.
Character Design
The following are a series of character designs I created inspired by the tabletop RPG game, Dungeons and Dragons. All commit to a heavy fantasy / Lord of The Rings genre.
Eiva, a tiefling Warlock. And their 6ft tall, Giant Chicken companion, Coffeepot.
Aurelia, a young Necromancer. And her best friend Petunia - who is a talking skull.
Florian. A bright eyed and very social rogue who mostly enjoys playing pranks and sleeping.
A trio of character / costume designs for three explorers visited the land of Eiselcross - a remote island depicted in the Dungeons and Dragons source book 'Explorer's Guide to Wildemount'. Eiselcross is an extremely cold, frozen arctic place. Primarily populated by nomadic tribes and the local fauna.
Ivis, a retired adventurer turned chef.
Environment / Interior Designs
These are a series of room designs based in a heavy fantasy setting. A majority of my work is focused on interior rooms, however, I am currently working on branching into exterior environments and digital painting.
Below are a series of interior designs of an office setting for a Flinders University Film Project: 'John and Mary'. These designs were part of a pipeline, and later passed onto 3D artists who build the environment in Maya for Unreal Engine 4.
Prop Design
I am currently working on expanding my skill set into prop design. Below are examples of my present work in this area.
The following are stain glass window designs inspired by windows described in the webshow, Critical Role.
My design and thumbnail process can be found below in the process view.
Illustration and Story Art
Examples of my illustration work focused on a mix of environments, characters, and story.
A majority of this work is heavily based on Dungeons and Dragons, and the webshow, Critical Role.
