SAFIYA - Real Time Game Ready Character
This is a personal project I made in my free time during my last year of studies. I wanted to improve my skills in character art, especially the technical part with ARKit facial blendshapes and shaders. She is ready for performance capture with Live Link Face in Unreal Engine.
I made this character with a standard pipeline : Sculpting in ZBrush; Retopology/UVs in Maya and 3DS Max; Baking and Texturing in Substance Painter; Rigged and Animated with Advanced Skeleton plugin in Maya; Rendering in Unreal Engine 5.
I also used Mari with TexturingXYZ maps to project micro details on the skin and Marvelous Deigner for some parts of the cloth.
The concept is by Florent Mounier (MoonYeah).
The environment is by Ludovic Oddi.
I created a dynamic material to add wrinkles depending of her expression.
CLARENCE - Real Time Game Ready Character
This the main character of "Alaska - An Endless Night", my graduation project.
I made him in 2 months. The first month I did the high poly sculpt in Zbrush, including the skin pores from TexturingXYZ projected with Mari and the clothes with Marvelous Designer. The second month I did the retopology and UVs in Maya and 3DS Max, bake and texturing in Substance Painter, the ARKit facial blendshapes in Maya and the shading in Unreal Engine 4.
As the previous character I made a dynamic material to add wrinkles depending of his facial expression.
POLAR BEAR - Real Time Game Ready Animal
This is the first asset I made for my graduation project "Alaska - An Endless Night". For the art direction the fur has to be stylized, kind of clay sculpture look, inspired by Beth Cavener's sculptures.
I sculpted it in Zbrush, retopology UV and rigged in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and integreted in Unreal Engine 4. I aslo animated and rigged it with advanced skeleton plugin in Maya.
OLD WIZARD - Real Time Game Ready Character
This is a personnal project on which I spent most of the time on the head and the textures especially. I wanted a very realistic and emotional render for his face.
I sculpted him in Zbrush, projected the skin pores in Mari, and created the clothes in Marvelous. I did the retopology and UVs in Maya and 3DS Max and the bake and texturing are done in Substance Painter. It's rendered in Unreal Engine 4.
