PROJECT BRIEF

To design a Future Hospitality for Federal Hotels International at Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This hospitality will be design into Luxury MICE Hotel and provide people gathering in the new pandemic period.

In this new pandemic, everyone craves gatherings or event activities, so I'm going to design a MICE hotel to provide a space for gatherings and events in a safe manner and distance.

Our target audience will be YOUNG GENERATION in large groups or for company trips. Nowadays, Airbnb is a new trend for the younger generation, so hospitality has more competitors now, so to gain a competitive advantage, we provide

This new pandemic SOP should be followed by everyone. So, according to my understanding, having a distance between two items implies that there will be some gap in it. So I drew something resembling a chessboard.

Finally, I discovered a few design concept elements in my concept sketches, which are.....

Layering

Layering will be more visible on the entire building façade, which has a level position design and a material combination of bricks, concrete, glass, and some trees studded.

Balance

Since they began working from home, everyone has become more concerned with Work-Life Balance. So, from this point, I developed an element called Balance and applied it to the façade layout design. Every three floors will have a mirror layout, which will be repeated until a Balance layout design is achieved.

Lines & Geometrical

Lines and geometrical shapes will be featured in the Modern Barrocco interior design style. I use the Modern Barrocco style because I want to create a Europe Vacation or travel to another country effect for everyone who stays in our hotel. As a result, they can satisfy their travel needs and mood while still in our country.

Space

Our main design elements are the ventilation blocks with holes, which will allow air pollution to be smothered while also providing air refreshing effects. Furthermore, because our country is a tropical rain forest country, good air pollution and green cooperation can help to cool the interior space. And these ventilation blocks can also give the impression that you are isolating yourself, but you do not feel isolated.
